This weekend was wrapped up with a visit to Priest Point.
We were hoping for some drizzly weather to go explore in, however by this point in the day the sun had come out for a visit.
Surprisingly for a Sunday afternoon we pretty much had the park to ourselves.
The trails were super pretty to walk and as always the should of the critters made it that much more enjoyable.
Once we hit the shore I realized that it was going to be high tide soon.
We had skated for quite a few hours earlier that day so I was actually just looking for a place to just sit back and enjoy the evening.
The ducks were out feeding and bobbing about, and you could even see the capitol building.
I found a low lying magnolia tree to climb and roost upon while the tide came in.
I soon realized that my tide app was not pulling from out location so the tide times and levels were off.
We realized that we needed to head out sooner then later or we would be stuck and not be able to get out before the gates closed at dusk.
On our way out of the park we drove the long way around and found that there were tons of trails as well as picnic nooks all around. This will be a place to go back and explore more.
We decided to take the long way home and check out some other neighborhoods, and even spotted two deer having dinner.
What a great way to wrap up the weekend!
