It feels like all of a sudden the autumn colors started to pop here in Olympia.
Sadly they seem to be going just as fast as they came.
Trees in just a days time seem to me naked now…and the ground is covered in crispy leaves.
I do have to admit that I love traipsing though the crunchy leaves…I am just glad that I got some photos of the color before they were gone.
While on our walk I was gathering leaves in every color family since I knew I wanted to make a leaf rainbow.
It took a while to get it just right (especially with kitty helpers) But I really like how it turned out.
I think it is interesting how different cameras highlight different things.
This image was taken with the “real” camera and it picks up all the veins and color variations…however the featured image at the top of the post is from a cell phone camera…the details are soothed but the colors are so much more varied and more of a “rainbow”
After the wreath was made and photographed the inspector had to come up and check it out…and start munching it…thanks dude.
Overall it was a fun project, even if it was all put back outside before dinner…just like the seasons…nothing lasts forever.
