The day looked to have bluebird conditions off and on so we decided to head on up to the Mountain (ok volcano…)
We weren’t sure what to expect, however I was amazed at just how much snow was still on the ground after the rains we had gotten.
Up at Paradise it was in full effect.
Lots of people using the sledding hill, but we saw a lot of other options open as well for snowshoeing, boarding etc.
By the time we got to to the main lodge we were craving something warm in out tummies so we had a snack, then headed to the car for our dry goods.
The birds are always friendly and looking for a free meal, but with D’s encouragement I was hand feeding the birds.
I seriously felt like Snow White!
We worked out way down Rainier and stopped for a few photos, then a walk along a little trail we had done in autumn.
It was really nice to get out in the snow…real snow.
Any day in a National Park is a great day!
I can’t wait to head on up again to try some of the other trails…prepared for a longer trek.
